Differentiating item patterns

As there are some knives that have diffrent value for the same item (same item name + wear), but diffrent pattern, how  do you differentiate those items from the normal ones(e.g. Sapphire knife from Phase 1 knife).

It seems that Bitskins does not do so, but Opskins does.

 

I could always fetch the item image (that's the only part from the data given from Steam that's diffrent for each pattern), and use that as unique pattern, but that would probably take some time, and I was hoping to find some general solution, so share some wisdom on this if possible @McKay.
