Dr. McKay Posted November 19, 2018 Report Posted November 19, 2018 I don't believe it's currently possible with new Steam chat. Quote
Kacer Posted November 20, 2018 Report Posted November 20, 2018 This sounds a lot like spam. My intention was to fetch the latest post from a sub-reddit and submit it to a dedicated steam channel (like a news channel)...Steam itself is providing already a decent counter measure for spam bots anyway ;-) Quote
Kacer Posted November 24, 2018 Report Posted November 24, 2018 This sounds a lot like spam. My intention was to fetch the latest post from a sub-reddit and submit it to a dedicated steam channel (like a news channel)...Steam itself is providing already a decent counter measure for spam bots anyway ;-) I noticed that limited accounts are able to join and post message on group chat/channels. Hence, I fully support you that this is indeed a method that could be abused. I'm astounded that steam restricted all community features, but yet, they left the most essential feature wide open to spammers and spreaders. MrPotato 1 Quote
